These two chips, the ICODE SLIX and the NTAG215 are from different NFC chip families. The ICODE SLIX, manufactured by NXP belonging to the ICODE family, and the NTAG215, also manufactured by NXP.
The ICODE SLIX is part of NXP's ICODE family of chips. The ICODE series is older than NXP's NTAG series and has a number of significant differences - particularly a longer 8 byte UID and a longer memory retention specification of 50 years.
The NTAG215 chip was launched in 2013 alongside the NTAG213, NTAG212, NTAG210 and NTAG216. It's a full featured chip with a medium size memory capacity. It isn't as common as the NTAG213 chip and is only available in a limited number of products unless made to order.
Both these chips have a strong ScanStrength and will work very well with mobile phones.
