ICODE SLIX vs. NTAG203
These two chips, the ICODE SLIX and the NTAG203 are from different NFC chip families. The ICODE SLIX, manufactured by NXP belonging to the ICODE family, and the NTAG203, also manufactured by NXP.
The ICODE SLIX is part of NXP's ICODE family of chips. The ICODE series is older than NXP's NTAG series and has a number of significant differences - particularly a longer 8 byte UID and a longer memory retention specification of 50 years.
The NTAG203 was the first of the NTAG series of chips from NXP released in 2011. The previous generation to the current NTAG series of chips.
The NTAG203 is no longer in production and we very, very strongly recommend that you do not purchase any tags using this chip. They are either very old or non-genuine NXP chips.
Both these chips have a strong ScanStrength and will work very well with mobile phones.
