These two chips, the NTAG424 and the NTAG215 are from the same NTAG family of chips. They are both manufactured by NXP.
The authentication NTAG424 DNA chip was launched in 2019 as a replacement for the first authentication NTAG chip, the NTAG413. Hosting a wealth of security features this second generation frictionless authentication chip is now the standard for anti-counterfeit, phygital (physical to digital) and web3 based projects.
The NTAG215 chip was launched in 2013 alongside the NTAG213, NTAG212, NTAG210 and NTAG216. It's a full featured chip with a medium size memory capacity. It isn't as common as the NTAG213 chip and is only available in a limited number of products unless made to order.
Both these chips have a strong ScanStrength and will work very well with mobile phones.
