Yes you can but it won't work properly. iPhones will not read the data and many Android phones don't always read it correctly.

There's two solutions to this. Firstly, use one the many link sharing websites that now exist. Secondly, create your 'vcf' vCard file using a website like vCard Maker then put this somewhere on the internet - for example your website or share it on Google Drive or similar. Then encode your NFC tag with an iPhone or encode with an Android phone a URL link directly to that file.

All NFC phones can read URL links and they will download the vCard file and present it.

Seritag have now launched vCard-Go. Because you can't store a vCard directly on your NFC tag, the vCard system creates your vCard data as a link which then dynamically creates the vcf file for download. The great thing about vcard-go is that your data is stored on your tag - not on the database - so you have full control of your personal contact information.

We also now supply our popular Connect Card with an NTAG215 chip for additional vcard data storage.

You can even just download our Seritag NFC Encoder app to do the encoding !

Easy !

I used the vcard-go in the link above and it worked great at a tradeshow. It's also very easy to change the information as you just create a new link and write it onto your nfc tag.
