The vast majority of NFC chips within NFC tags sold via retailers and large scale tag manufacturers are currently made by NXP Semiconductors. Seritag only ever sell genuine NXP or other brand chips.

Why doesn't seritag sell EM or STMicro chips ?

There's a number of reasons but the main one is supply and availability. Seritag supply customers all over the world with low quantities of tags for testing and development. When you are ready to scale up we need to be ready to supply.
With some of the chips we can make quantities of tags for testing but then the production times when you scale can be extremely long or options can be limited.
NXP's chips are so widely available and in such strong supply that we can make almost any tag in almost any quantity quickly and easily.
