QR code is a way of storing data in the form of two-dimensional representation. It is also a form of a barcode. The QR code is scanned by a QR scanner such as a mobile phone camera to get the information it represents. It stores data horizontally as well as vertically. Often will take the scanner to a weblink.
Near Field Communication NFC was developed for communication between two devices using inductive coupling. It offers a low-speed connection to devices within 4 cm. This too allows users to scan the tag and take the user to a weblink.
The biggest difference between the QR code and an NFC is the way the user scans the item to receive the information. with an NFC the user hovers the phone over and it appears where as with a QR code the user has to open the camera app and allow it to focus and then it will pop up once it has registered what the phone is looking at.
