What tag can I use to attach to a chain?

As a general rule NFC tags do not work well with metal surfaces. Metal affects the scan ability of the tags. However we do have on-metal tags that are made with a layer of ferrite, which acts as a barrier to ensure that the tag is still able to be scanned, even on metal. You can then scan the tag from the side the metal is not on as the tag will not scan through the metal.
