A dynamic link refers to a link encoded onto an NFC tag whose ultimate destination can be modified.
Typically this is handled with a tag management system like our Ixkio platform.
The NFC tags are encoded with a link to the management platform rather than to the final URL/web page. When the tag is scanned the user reaches the management platform first and is then immediately redirected to the final page. This happens so quickly that the user isnt aware of the redirect.
The purpose of this is to allow the destination link on the NFC tag to be changed remotely and whenever required. The NFC tags themselves can also be locked so the data cannot be changed as it doesnt need to be changed.
As the link isnt static its therefore called a dynamic link.
