Does a phone case interfere with scanning and nfc tag ?

Typically, a phone case does not interfere with the scanning of NFC tags, as most cases are designed to be non-disruptive to wireless communications.

However, interference can occur if the case is made from or contain metal, which can block or weaken the NFC signal.

The thickness of the case can also make a difference. Many mobile cases are thicker at the ends and the edges which is where the location of an iPhone antenna is (along the top edge).

For optimal performance, it is recommended to use cases made from materials like plastic or silicone, which allow NFC signals to pass through more easily. If you experience issues with NFC functionality, consider removing the case temporarily to test if it is causing interference.
