Do clear NFC labels read better than white labels ?

No.

The performance of the NFC tag is related to a number of factors particularly the antenna size. In the majority of cases Seritag will use the same antenna design across the white face clear face garment spec wet inlay and wet inlay Type R variants of a tag.
