Yes an NFC tag can have multiple functions at once depending on how it's programmed.
For example a single NFC tag could:
- Open a website link.
- Automatically connect to Wi-Fi.
- Launch a specific app.
- Send a text message or trigger a phone action like turning on Bluetooth.
The NFC tag can store multiple types of data and when scanned it can trigger different actions on compatible devices. However the number of functions depends on the tag's memory capacity e.g. NTAG213 vs NTAG216.
An NTAG216 stores a larger amount of data compared to the NTAG216 888 bytes and therefore can perform more functions than the NTAG213 144 bytes at once.
