Can I change the link on an NFC tag ?

You can update the link on your NFC tags as many times as you like, as long as the tag remains unlocked. Once a tag is locked, its data becomes permanent and cannot be changed.

Locking an NFC tag is a separate action, typically performed using mobile apps such as Seritag’s NFC Encoder.

Alternatively, you can password-protect your tags. This allows the data or URL to be updated only when the correct password is provided. You can enable this feature using the Seritag NFC Encoder mobile app.

If you need more advanced control, you can use a tag management system such as the ixkio NFC tag management platform. This lets you remotely update your tag destinations, as well as access analytics, tracking, and performance insights.

Seritag now offer password protection encoding when you order your NFC tags. You can then modify the tags using the Seritag NFC Encoder app. Contact us for information.

Password protection allows anyone to read the tags but a password needs to be entered through the app to be able to re-write the tag.
