Can an NFC tag be copied?

Reader - 11 Jan 2023
Yes and no.

With a standard chip such as NTAG213, 215, 216 etc any data or URL stored can be quite easily copied to another tag.

However, when using an authentication chip such as the NTAG424 and NTAG223/224 the URL will change on every scan. Therefore, while the URL can be copied, it would be immediately 'out of date'. These chips are used for anti-counterfeit protection.
