NFC tags can withstand a range of temperatures, depending on their design and materials.
Generally normal NFC tags can operate in ranging from -25°C to 70°C. These are more suitable for everyday application and may deteriorate in manufacturing temperatures. Products such as clear and white labels.
Furthermore specific tags have higher temperature gauges, for example the new ICODE 3 can withstand 105 degrees. However it is important to note the material may disintegrate at a faster rate than the tag itself.
Other tags can withstand higher temperatures much higher temperatures. For industrial or manufacturing where temperatures can reach levels such as -40°C to 200°C using a tag constructed with material which is protective against heat is vital. These can be tags made with materials such as Nylon and PPS, for example the Patrol tag or the factory tag.
It is important to note that there is a link between temperature and length of exposure.
