What is the difference between a wet and clear inlay on an nfc tag?

The difference between Wet and Clear inlays for NFC's is the way they are constructed. Wet inlays include an adhesive backing which allows them to be directly integrated or applied to surfaces.

Clear inlays however do not contain this adhesive packing and come on a carrier. These are more suitable for lamination or encapsulation to a product.

In terms of the functionality of the tag and chip itself there is no difference.
