On most modern smartphones NFC comes pre-enabled by the manufacturer, no third party software if generally needed to read/use NFC tags.
For reading: Tap your phone near an NFC tag or NFC-enabled product. The device will automatically detect and open the stored content, such as a URL or contact information.
For writing: You can write or program NFC tags using an NFC-enabled smartphone or NFC writer, typically through a dedicated app. Simply choose the content to store (e.g., a link, text, or app launch) and place the phone near the NFC tag.
