Are NFC's Water resistant?

I am looking to place an NFC on the side of my boat, but I am concerned that they will be damaged when they come in to contact with water. How can I make sure the NFC is water resistant?

Yes, many NFC tags are water-resistant, but the level of water resistance can vary depending on the type and construction of the tag.

Depending on their construction, some NFC products are waterproof. These products completely encapsulate the NFC component with a waterproof material, creating a barrier that protects the electronics from water and other environmental hazards. A good example would be the PVC disc tag or the ABS factory tag, which entirely encapsulate the NFC component with strong waterproof material.

NFC products like keyfobs have a basic level of water resistance, allowing them to withstand water splashes and low levels of moisture. Other products, such as those covered in epoxy, offer an additional layer of protection, making them suitable for outdoor use, industrial applications, or environments where they may encounter moisture.
