Can I encode NTAG424 chips by myself?

Yes and no.

Yes you are able to encode the NTAG424 chips with a mobile phone however the chip will act like any regular chip. These are great chips and have a lifespan specification of 50 years and great memory.

When wanting these tags for authentication purposes you will need to use specific software. Users who have a technical knowledge on encoding and authentication of NFC tags are are able to do this. Keep in mind that tags used for authentication are often paired with tag management systems to aid with the authentication process.
